Bay Area Knuckleheadz Basketball Program Code of Conduct

Code of Conduct:

  1. Respect:
    • Treat all coaches, teammates, opponents, referees, and spectators with respect and courtesy.
    • Respect the facilities, equipment, and property used during practices, games, and events.
  2. Sportsmanship:
    • Display good sportsmanship at all times, both in victory and defeat.
    • Refrain from any form of unsportsmanlike conduct, including taunting, arguing with referees, or inappropriate language.
  3. Commitment:
    • Attend all practices, games, and team events punctually and prepared.
    • Notify coaches in advance if unable to attend a practice or game.
  4. Effort and Attitude:
    • Give 100% effort during practices and games.
    • Maintain a positive attitude and encourage teammates.
  5. Teamwork:
    • Understand and prioritize the importance of teamwork over individual accolades.
    • Support and cooperate with teammates to achieve common goals.
  6. Learning and Development:
    • Be open to learning and implementing new skills and strategies.
    • Seek continuous improvement both on and off the court.
  7. Health and Safety:
    • Prioritize physical and mental well-being by following safety guidelines and reporting any injuries or health concerns to coaches.
    • Abstain from any activities that could harm oneself or others.
  8. Community Engagement:
    • Participate in fundraisers organized by the program.
    • Represent the program positively within the community.
  9. Parental Involvement:
    • Encourage parents and guardians to support and uphold the values of the program.
    • Ensure that parents and guardians demonstrate respectful behavior towards all participants, coaches, and officials.
  10. Compliance:
    • Abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the basketball program, league, and governing bodies.
    • Accept and adhere to the consequences of any violations of this code of conduct.
  11. Payments and Access to TeamSnap:
    • Ensure that all program fees are paid in full and on time.
    • Understand that access to TeamSnap, the team’s communication and scheduling platform, will be restricted until payment is received.

By participating in the Bay Area Knuckleheadz Basketball Program, all players, coaches, and parents/guardians agree to uphold this Code of Conduct, promoting a positive, respectful, and empowering environment for all.
